Why do I ask this question? I've noticed that more and more people do not take friend requests from bands. This is a disturbing trend for us musicians and players. Honestly it doesn't do me a whole lot of good to only have other bands and musicians as friends. The life blood of any musical act is a fan base made up of mostly non musicians. When I first got on Myspace a few years back it was exciting and I made contacts all over the place. But as time has dragged on I've noticed less and less non musicians wanting to become friends or responding to my friend requests. In fact I can't remember when was the last time a non musician /artist type contacted me to become friends. Usually it's other bands, actors, comedians and or some annoying people trying to sell me some bull shit! Still I like what you can do with a myspace page far more than facebook. So as of this date, September 14th 2009, I'm finding that my band a personal musician myspace pages function as little more than de facto websites and depositories for Advertisers! Amazing how quickly things change in the end times, or is this just the result of Quantum Physics? You you where things will accelerate faster and faster till we break through to some new reality or blow up, which ever comes first. I certainly didn't think when I woke up this morning that I'd be contemplating the "Big Questions" in a blog about myspace, but there ya have it.
