Dear friends,
We hope you can come celebrate "Is America Part of The World" event with us tomorrow night.  A while back we were invited to perform at a "world" music festival where we were asked to not play our songs that were in English, specifically the country songs (the same ones that Willie Nelson sang with us at Farm Aid).  Their excuse was that it was a "world" music festival.  Our response was...is America not part of the world?  It raised a lot of ethical questions about a very vague genre of music that we recklessly refer to as "world music" which ultimately degrades and dehumanizes the culture and the musicians of where their music comes from.

So...we would like to share this event with you in celebration that America is part of the world and we would like to share MUSIC with YOU....not a genre of music but just good ol' music that you can dane to, get drunk to, celebrate to and just have FUN!  We hope to see you there.

....Come to the show and we'll tell you if we played our songs in English or not.

And yet, Cajun music is in the World Beat rack at the local music store ...
