If you finally found what you had always been looking for, but it was over two thousand miles out of reach, would that be good luck or bad luck?

If you were starting to go through withdrawal symptoms when you stumbled upon a large supply of the addictive substance you most crave, is that fortune or misfortune?

If a black cat has crossed your path and was promptly hit by a speeding car, how do you interpret that omen?

Is is it safer under a ladder in an earthquake?

What if upon opening the chain letter that assured millions of dollars upon resending, you got a paper cut, which led to staph infection, but the doctor at your HMO was both attractive and single?

We do not deny that there are powerful cosmic forces.  Nor do we deny that some of them are inevitably out to get you.  However, you must ask yourself one question: are you out to get them first?

4. yes. just remember to emerge on the same side you came under it
5. sorry - with that kind of backstory, she'd probably be a cutter
6. we'll just see, now, won't we?
