SUMMIT Schedule:

BUS PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF: Bus service will be available from the UCONN-Stamford campus to Westhill HS. BUS pickup at UCONN wil be between 12:30-1 PM and drop off will IMMEDIATELY follow the conclusion of the Summit.


1-2:30 Registration and Welcome Session- Register, sign in, sign up for song critique sessions, pick up literature about the performers and presenters, drop off CDs for the demo derby and politic and network with the presenters, performers and attendees. There will be DJ setups playing music and we will be screening WILD STYLE in the small theatre. We will be offering ARTIST DEVELOPMENT AND SONG CRITIQUE SESSIONS during this time. Sign up and sit down with people who are in the game who can answer your questions and offer you guidance.

2:45- 3:45- Workshops- This year, the workshops will be more hands-on and free-flowing. In that spirit, we will have 4 stations set up that you can move between. There will be a DJ station, a Production station, a freestyle/cipher station and a writing station. This will also be the time when we will have our DEMO DERBY. During the demo derby, you are invited to drop off a CD with one song that will be played for everyone and we will give you our honest, constructive critique. If you feel like you really bring that heat, you don't want to miss this!

4-6- Panel discussions- This will be divided up into 3 panel discussions on topics ranging from hip hop and it's role in our lives, independent media, and the responsibilty that hip hop has to the community.

6-9 PERFORMANCES- The concert to end all concerts! AFA, Chubb Rock, Breez Evahflowin, and STUDENT PERFORMANCES will rock the Westhill auditorium!!!
