We just uploaded a new tune: The song is called "Welcome to the Wonderland".
There is a little story that comes along with this song:
This song gave the name to the recording sessions in early 2009 as we called the sessions the 'wonderland session'. As a result Dienstweg Rekordz, our label, asked some us if we want to start a different project called 'the wonderland sessions'. The reason for this question was that we recorded some tunes that did nit sound like FotN. Some of us agreed with the proposal.
As a result of this decision, some FotN-members went on with the new project called 'The Wonderland Sessions' and have left the main project Friends of the Night. They plan to release a first album in 2010. Some old FotN members have been staying with FotN and are also part of the band 'The Wonderland Sessions'. To sum it up: this is the reason why we have two new members within the FotN project. This is all seems quite confusing to you... yes it is. But who cares? In the end it's all about the music we record for you
and the fun we have while recording the stuff;-) And our label keeps everything together.
But nevertheless, it was agreed that the material recorded in the first and original wonderland sessions would be
published by FotN. And the song 'Welcome to the Wonderland' is one of these tunes. Enjoy it! In a way, the song explains why we founded FoTN and went to Dienstweg Rekordz with our material.
