This past summer, the Cagleheads came together in less than 90 days and raised over $3000 for a charity near and dear to Chris' heart, Saddle Up! Office supplies to help in their office were also donated by generous Cagleheads!

Saddle Up! is a therapeutic recreational horseback riding program designed for children with mental and physical disabilities. It is the oldest therapeutic riding program in the area serving a broad range of children living throughout Middle Tennessee. The money raised was enough to sponsor three horses for a year.

The Saddle Up! Development Coordinator, Tina Carpenter and Chris were surprised at the 2007 Caglehead party when the announcement/check presentation was made! A contingency of Cagleheads also went out to the Saddle Up! grounds and toured the facility.

This is just another example of what big hearts the Cagleheads have!

I was there when it was presented and Chris had NO idea of what the Cagleheads had done. He thought the plaque was for Saddle Up, not him and you can tell by the look on his face how much it meant to him.
He was very grateful and he was sooooo proud of everyone.
I have a few pics of that as well.... it was a wonderful moment I will never forget seeing.
Chris, I am glad you were suprised about the whole thing and I am glad that one Caglehead picked one of YOUR favorite Charities to do this for. You are such a humbled person and that is what makes you more likeable to me as a fan of yours.
Take care and hopefully(you should get this) it will go "on and on and on and on and on and on and onnnnn".... the story behind On and On... love it!

Take care and see you soon!

I was there that day, I have several pictures of that moment. He was almost in tears. I have known Chris for a few years now and he is an amazing person. Not just some one with a passion. The saddle up club is very dear to Chris. He hopes one day to open an equine ranch for the therapy of children and to help adult with mental illness as well. Chris and I grew up near the same town, We both originated from Louisiana and then moved to Texas, I think at one time my Dad with his father not really sure thought. It is amazing that many years later our Paths crossed again in the wonderful state of TN were both reside again. I don't have any close relations with Chris, unfortunately. Over the past years Chris has been great to My daughters and even mention one time going horse back ridding with them.
Allot of stars have certain charities, but i don't believe they share the compassion that Chris carries,I do believe that they care, but the love that Chris has for children and equine is astonishing, To me Chris will always be A hero to children with disabilities because he care so deeply about them.
Chris I hope you get the chance to read this board and know how many lives you have touch and know that God has blessed you, not only for helping other , but because you put them first with an open heart not an attachment. We love you Chris. Colleen, Katalina 10, DeAnna 8, Rachelle 14, and Tobbie 13. Thank you Chris for loving us.
P.S. From Tobbie, When my Mom went to see at your fan club party, you took the time to talk me over the phone and gave me an autographed CD. Thank you. You are an amazing person. And we do love you.
And were Gone, Good and Gone, Doggone Gone, Love that song.

I wish I could have been there this year to see his reaction. Being a Caglehead is more than just supporting Chris' career and music, but also representing him by giving as much as we can to others in need.
Way to go Cagleheads!

My wife and I were there as well. It was the first time we had met him and we are even bigger fans now. As others have stated, he is such a humble and down to earth guy. How can anyone not be a huge Chris Cagle fan??? As a reminder to everyone, we have been calling our local radio station here in East TN requesting that they play what kind of gone. The big Knoxville station has FINALLY started playing it, so we are hoping it will catch on up here soon! WE SUPPORT YOU CHRIS!!!

That is awesome! Great job!
There is a therapeutic riding program close to my home where I volunteer. I took my 4-H kids there for a tour and we do lots of community service for them and some of my older kids started to volunteer which makes me feel so proud of them! It is such a great experience to see the kids and adults on the horses and the way they interact. I am very thankful that I am able to help with that!
Oh our 4-H club is called Saddle up and go. Cool huh

I have always been a firm believe that the simplicity and beauty of riding horses can soothe much more that the desire of oneself. And I am also a firm believer that Chris sees and believes that as well. Us Cagleheads have such big hearts because we actually care and through Chris's music, he shows us just how much he cares back. Not only for us, his fans, but for the actual love of country music and just what music can actually do. Because of Chris, he's given us a chance to give back through the Saddle Up! program in an opprotunity to help others. I wasn't there that day that Chris was given that plaque, but by the look on his face it brings tears to my own eyes because you can see just how much he genuinely cares for his music, for his amazing fans and for the Saddle Up! program. We love you Chris and everything that you've done for that program and for all the wonderful and precious children it's helped. We love what you've done for country music and music in general. You inspire so many of us to do far greater things that we could have ever imagined. YOU are behind the true and real meaning of what music is supposed to be. Thank you, from not only the bottom of my heart, but every other single Caglehead and music lover alike, for all that you have done. You will never truly know how much you mean to us! ~Cassie

I am not a fan club member but, I do like Chris and his music. I am very proud to know he is passionate about children and handicaps. My uncle whom I am conservator of is 58 . He is mentally challenged and loves horses and country music. Unfortunately he isn't allowed to ride my horses and getting to see a concert is well lets just say he can't afford tickets. But regardless of all this he still loves his country music and that is a must in his everyday life.
Sorry I am rambling , just wanted to say I am proud to know that he cares and bless each of you that helped raise money for this charity.

That is so awesome. I work at a YMCA camp that has a special needs program and its truly something that brings smiles and hope to a lot of children and adults. It's great to see them grow with the help of volunteers and staff that are there to support them and teach them.

Congrats to Saddle Up and Chris for helping to make more dreams come true!
