Hey everyone,
This isn't spam! ; )
In case you haven't seen my notes and posts lately about the new book I want you all to read, I'm sending another little note about it.
The book is called "Lit" and the author is Mary Karr. Mary Karr became a star in the literary world and a hero to avid readers in 1995, when her first memoir, "The Liars' Club", was released.
Five years later, in 2000, Karr followed up with her next book, "Cherry". Again, critics and fans alike, were turned on their collective ear– it seemed that this teller of real tales had become a modern day hero.
So... perhaps you wonder why I'm writing to you about "Lit" (On shelves November 3rd); a book that hasn't even been released yet.
Well, I was one of the VERY lucky few to receive an advance copy of the book and I'm here to tell you that it's fantastic.
You can order in online now most anywhere you buy your books or you can buy it the week it comes out. Do one or the other. Oh, and one more thing– don't just buy it to be nice to me or to Mary Karr. (Although nice people who do nice things are always appreciated.) Do yourself a favor. Buy "Lit" AND read "Lit".
I have no doubt that you will love this story and you, like the rest of the world, will consider Mary Karr your newest, best friend.
I hope you're all well and I look forward to seeing you ALL in the spring of 2010.
