Zyon Base - Tombstone Blues / City of the Red Night (DSM)

The DSM boys follow up a cracking release by Lynx with these two gems by Belfast-based Shogun contributor Zyon Base. 'Tombstone Blues' is an atmospheric roller with lush vocals, warping basslines and warm vibes that will send a shiver up your spine. Partner the sweet vibes with snappy breaks and deep sub bass and you have a track that will suit both the floor and the iPod. Top stuff. 'City of the Red Night' follows on from the A-side but on a tougher vibe aimed squarely at the floor. Tough, warping bass coupled with Commix-esque modulated bass effectively warpped with beautiful pads ensure this tune is tough enough but still retains a deep vibe. DSM on a roll!
