Hi guys and dolls my apologies for leaving it so long since the last news update. Won't do it again, honest. So... the grand final of the ultimate chill's scottish battle of the bands final at the Caird Hall happened - and WE WON! Ooohya manny i say! Was a cool day where we were lucky enough to make some new friends in musicy circles. So now we just have to sit down and make our plans for our world domination to take place over the next 12 months. The event also marked the end of an era in Sonnet65 history as our Bethan played her last gig as our lead violinist before embarking on her studies down in Glasgow. We all wish her all the luck in the World and hope she doesnt hesitate to come and join us in the rockage when time allows. Thanks for all the good times over the last 4 and a half years Miss Parkes - take care and we'll hopefully see you very soon. To keep all the die hard fans in the know - we have since welcomed Miss Fiona Taylor into the fold - Sonnet65 would not be Sonnet65 now without the soaring epic violin rock noise that has become our trademark and so Fiona has stepped up to the task and is settling in really quickly and doing a great job. Oh speaking of other gigs, we did some other gigs too - they were grrrrrreat but thats not important now. This Saturday we are in the Westport Bar in WAIT FOR IT... Arbroath so dont be silly and end up in Dundee yo. As you have read for the last couple of months we are STILL hoping to get some new tunes, pics and video footage up soon. As always any comments and suggestions for the website are welcome, as well as any photographs you can email us with at the address below, and I hope you like the new tidier layout.
