John Martyn passed on a couple of weeks ago..Love this mans music..I had the honour of playing with and supporting him a few times...U should go and have a listen to him...he wrote a lot of great songs and inspired a lot of people ...

Wow, thank you Paddy. I hadn't heard. A lot of really wonderful people died a couple weeks ago. The angels must have needed them. Rest in peace John, and Nancy Shannon.... ..Teresa

I found this fitting comment about the passing of John Martyn on Wikipedia......Paying tribute to Martyn, BBC Radio 2's folk presenter Mike Harding said: "John Martyn was a true original, one of the giants of the folk scene. He could write and sing classics like 'May You Never' and 'Fairy Tale Lullaby' like nobody else, and he could sing traditional songs like Spencer The Rover in a way that made them seem new minted."
