Who Gives Kudos:

May 2, 2009 - Saturday
In light of my recent altercation with the law, I figured I'd clear some things up that seem to be getting misunderstood. Here's the lowdown:

1. I do not currently have a suspended license, nor did I when I was pulled over.

2. I was in the area of "14th and Park" because I was driving home; I live downtown. Park Ave, when coming from uptown, is a very convenient route. I was pulled over on route.

3. I did not know my brake light was out

4. I did not "steal" tabs in 2007. I the "fraudulent tabs" deal is because I had a license plate cover, that at the time covered my tabs up. I bought the car from some dude and it came with it. The police simply said to remove it, and I did.

5. I honestly had no idea there was a warrant out, I havent gotten any mail about it. Plus, I had to be at the government center a half dozen times over the past year to take care of all my license stuff, and it never popped up there either. I've wanted nothing more than to take care of everything regarding my record. This was not intentional.

Moral of the story? Don't do stupid stuff, and if you do, take care of it all immediately!

Life is all about learning lessons. Unfortunately some are more public than others. you and your family are in my prayers! Keep your head up and that smile on your face! All good lessons come in all sorts of experiences!

it just sucks that you have to even tell the entire world #1 through #5 above. it is hardly "news" and hardly anything that should have received any press. i absolutely hate that you have to pay the price for being a well known household name. ugh. very big of you to put the explanation out there but i'm just sorry you have to at all. what you do *should* be your own business because it certainly doesn't have any effect on your talent or your likability. i'm still a fan now and will be forever. keep doing what you do best and keep singing! the show at the fineline was awesome. it was great to see you again and also to hear you play your own version of "touch". loved it!
