After some very intrepid work, and a great run at the Southern Theater, the men of Electropolis are going to take a little break from live shows for the foreseeable future.
The "Between the Head and Hands" shows at the Southern set the bar just a little bit higher for us, and frankly, performance opportunities for the Electropolis future will have to measure up to that high standard. We find that performing in theaters and the like are much more satisfying for both ourselves and our audience, and we're going to hang up our "clubbing shoes" for now. It will take some time and energy-restocking to put together another extravaganza, so that's what we're going to do.
But are we done? Nah. We have a trove of material to mix and get out, and we'll be doing some releasing of that material over time. Plus, we have started to mix our soundtrack to "Metropolis" and want to release that in some form since we seem to have an eager audience ready to hear it again. So, STAY TUNED, and we will too. And who knows, we may fire up the gig-wagon at a moments notice. It's open for now.
In the meantime, Kelly Rossum is performing with his great jazz groups, Brian Roessler remains one of the busiest bassists in the Minne-Apple, Steve Roehm is ripping it up with the New Standards, and Michael Ferrier is performing with the "out-there" ZOIKS! and Improvised Explosive Device. So we hope to see YOU out there, groovin'.
