Who Gives Kudos:

Saturday, February 14, 2009

CENTURY has begun the writing process for their next full-length album. Much like the critically acclaimed Prosthetic Records debut, the new album will be an exercise in futuristic sonic annihilation. However, the as-yet-untitled effort will also prove to be a bold step forward stylistically from Black Ocean, which was recently named one of Revolver Magazine's "Top 20 Albums of 2008". CENTURY will be playing select regional dates throughout the writing process, in addition to an appearance on 2009's New England Metal & Hardcore Fest.

Additionally, the newest incarnation of Pennsylvania's CENTURY has arrived. Rejoining the band is original drummer Grant McFarland and bassist Ricky Armellino, current drummer and vocalist of This Or The Apocalypse, respectively. Also joining the band on guitar is longtime friend, Todd Mogle. When asked about the recent line-up change, vocalist Carson Slovak and guitar player Jason Baker declined comment, citing future grievances with the new members.

Fans of CENTURY's debut music video from the album Black Ocean will be excited to learn that production on the follow-up video for the song "Monolith" is underway. The video will be a continuation of the first installment, which garnered heavy rotation on MTV's Headbangers Ball in 2008. The band swears that the first video will make sense after this one.
