Just a warning before you start reading, if you have not seen the movie, and are planning to, this has MAJOR spoilers.

So, the whole plot of it seems a little...strange....
Last man on earth has to find a cure to this disease...this issue, cure for cancer is actually a more deadly curse, turns you into a "vampire" sort of character.

This movie did recieve an R rating, just a warning in advance.

Watching this movie I started to think "outside" the box. I started to compare this to religion, to a relationship I have with Jesus Christ. In the end of the movie Will Smith makes a comment "The cure is in my blood." Will Smith has to sacrafice himself to save the world.

How is this anything like our relationship with Jesus Christ though?
Lets look at the symblosim implied, maybe not on purpose, but in this movie.

Will Smith {the Doctor in the movie}=Jesus Christ?
Why do i say this? I am not implieing that Will Smith is Jesus Christ, because that is foolishness. I am saying that Will Smith symbolizes Will Smith in a way, He had to sacrafice himself, give HIS blood to save the world, As our savior had to do, sacrafice himself on the Cross for us.

"Vampires"=Us, the everyday regular people.
We are sick. We are infected with a problem, our sin. Some of us realize this, the ones who want help, others do not realize this, they attack Will Smith, just like people attack Christ in real life, they say things that hurt him, do things that hurt him.

the "cancer cure," the "disease"=Sin.
This cure for cancer turned people into Vampires. It essentially infected them. This can be similar to our sin, eventually it became airborn, like our sin, it is contagious. We all sin, EVERYONE became effected, EVERYONE is affected by sin.

The creator of the "cure for cancer"=the devil?
While as far as we can tell from this movie, the lady did not know the effect, however, she did start this infection, just like the devil starts our disease by attacking us, or our beliefs.

So, I AM LEGEND, a symbolic movie of God?? I believe so, and I thank God for sacraficing himself for me.

NO!! not everyone attacks jesus and try to "kill him".

You wanna review a movie having to do with the bible, watch southland tales.
Now theres some serious biblical reference there
