Lishmah is a profound concept of traditional Judaism.  Commonly understood as meaning "for it's own sake", the term Lishmah is usually applied to the proper state of mind for Torah study.  Not for fame, money, or power- but merely for the simple joy of doing.  This is a process oriented paradigm as opposed to a product oriented paradigm.  We find a deep and humbling wisdom in this idea and have sought out its application, not just to Torah study, but to all of our pursuits and passions.  It is in this spirit that Darshan's first album was created- Lishmah- purely for the simple of joy and fulfillment of Being what we are Doing. 

Written and recorded over a stormy summer while working 60 hour weeks.  Mixed and mastered in four rainy 12 hour days.  Coast to coast.  Audio files over the internet.  Whatever it took to bring this audible light into the world.  Get out of the way and let the music play.
