Punk Fiction is a collection of short stories inspired by punk songs. The contributors – mainly writers and musicians – have been hand picked from the generations following the punk revolution; those who were positively influenced by the movement rather than those who played an active part in making it happen. Their instructions were simple: pick a punk song that inspires you and write.

Punk Fiction is not about safety pins and mohicans. The idea was to bring together an eclectic mix of writers and musicians who are punk and mavericks in their own right. As the musician Paul Smith put it, ‘Punk inspires other people to create, which is why I wanted to write something for this book.’
