On January 31st of this year, my uncle Ed "Butch" Maguire lost his lifelong battle with Type 1 Diabetes. He was, and still is, a huge part of our family and I can't even begin to describe how much we miss him everyday. On September 12, 2008, we are hosting the Ed Maguire Memorial Golf Tournament to raise money and awareness for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. There are countless people still fighting this horrible disease and still more affected by it in some form everyday.
