In 2008 I had an amazing 27th Bday when Kanye and Common joined me and 1,100 friends at Area in Hollywood for a surprise performance that was what most have said was the best party of that year. So this year (09) I felt like an artist making a second album, a lil bit pressured to make sure it was as good as the first. But really, how on earth could I top Kanye and one of my all time favorite artists Common?!! Unfortunately '09 started off crazy for me with the passing of my grandfather and a uncle in February so I obviously had lil' time to put together such a major event as last year. So i decided I would do something much smaller at Foxtail which holds like 175 people in the main room. With help from DJ friends Gusto, Still Wil, Eric Dlux, Rush, and Skratchy it was a blast. My man Kanye came out and Lady GaGa came through to sing me Happy Bday. Other guests included Leo Dicaprio, Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, and a bunch of other Hollywood friends. I had a tight list of friends I see almost everyday. So, all that said, for thos who didn't make it to the party... here's some media coverage of my 28th bday.
