Kicking off the evening's set including five acts, Tallahassee's own Dead Letters took center stage before an exaggerated capacity filled venue.
They are a new local group that formed in November of 2008, when members of Tallahassee
rock band, Bombardiers (RIP), Burgess, de la Cruz, and Littlefield came
together to create impromptu hooks with the interest of developing them
into perfectly crafted pop songs. Linafelt joined on the bass the
following February.
Band members -
Andrew Burgess - Vocals, Guitar Justin de la Cruz - Guitar, Vocals Tim Lenafelt - Bass Matt Littlefield - Drums
Their 40-minute set list included...
Cracks In The Pavement The Uncut Hair of Graves So It Goes Don't Start Me Down This Road This Is The End Wrong With Me
For a newly formed band, it was quite evident that they have worked hard to get recognized within the local music scene. I was impressed.
Unfortunately, they didn't get to play before a larger crowd. This to shall come.
These guys will catch other groups off guard.
NOTE - Thanks to Dead Letters in sending a message in clarifying certain items that I had unknowingly ducked upon.
