Satisfy your soul!
Two new songs from Kid's Garden, this is huge news!
We have been recording in the Mystic Fortress, the heart of the Magic Twig community, with John Thompson. (Note that I've never actually heard it be called the Mystic Fortress, but there is a giant painting of a unicorn and a
myspace for it). Here are some of the results:
"Lord, Amen" is a giant hurricane of a song that will make you feel like you are rising up to heaven, inducing all kinds of out of body experiences once you get the volume just right. No lyric could possibly fit that song better than "I feel like I'm dying Lord, amen."
The second song "Need To Die" is a barrage of sound... just cataclysmic intensity. It has all the grit of being kicked in the face, along with all the pleasure of not getting kicked in the face. It's a beautiful new feeling no other song can embody. George and John all getting into it on some dueling harmonicas.
Here's the low down on who did what:
"Lord, Amen"
George Clanton: Vocals, 6-String Guitar (three times over), Whacked out bass
Kyle Harris: Drums
John Thompson: 12-String Guitar
Joe Lunsford: Mic swinging
"Need To Die"
George Clanton: Vocals, 6-String Guitar, Harmonica
Kyle Harris: Drums, Spooky aura
John Thompson: Harmonica, Steel Guitar, Bass
Both songs were recorded and mixed by John Thompson, but, these are not the final mixes. Stay tuned for the short album: "Making Friends To Make Music To Make Friends To: Songs From a Forthcoming Release"
That's right, I think the plan is to release a short album, then later, a full-length.
I SAID STAY TUNED, AND DON'T FORGET
peace
