..for each person in your life who has loved you, helped you, taught you;You could strive to be that for the next person who needs that.
...for each time a person you loved, or helped or taught walked away to follow their path;
You could let them go knowing you did your best and perhaps you'll both do the same for the next person who needs that.
...for each time a person you loved, turned their back, laughed at or judged you;
You could learn to forgive, walk away to be the better person for the next person who does not deserve that.
...for each time a person you love tells you what you should do, they know what is best for you, that their way is the only way;
You could walk away calmly down your own path without anger, wishing only the best for them.
...for each time a person you love trusts you enough to tell you their hopes, their dreams, their pain;
You could treat it as something as sacred as your own hopes, dreams and pain.
...for each time a person you love breaks trust when you've shared your pain;
You could walk away and still never wish the kind of pain you've endured upon them.
...for one moment you felt you could give no more, you felt tired, depleted, alone...
When the most beautiful strangers came to you from many places, to tell you what a difference you had made, you were strong, you were needed, you inspired, you were loved...and you were not alone;
What if you continued on...to give for those who are truly in need, who you can really help, who need your voice...and remember those you loved along the way with gratitude no matter how much it may pain you that they aren't along the way or that they did not understand.
There were never any 'what if's'...
You continue with no regret.
