Who Gives Kudos:

Two years ago, I wrote and performed, a Halloween song for the now defunct NPR show, Bryant Park. It's about my annoyance at girl costumes these days. It's not that I'm prude; it's just that they are not imaginative and lame. Unlike my 2nd grade costume: Joe Namath of the New York Jets.

Here it is: Slutty Halloween

The tour with Erin Mckeown has been very fun. She is an amazing guitar player and writer,  as well as a real good egg. Thank god. Just think if I had to spend hours in a van with someone, say, like Courtney Love in her most drugged out and drunk stage. Although that might have been fun too...maybe. I hope you all can check it out if we are coming to your town.

Not many people can say it. Herbie Hancock broke my guitar. Well, sort of. I saw him last night at the conference I am currently  at. As we hugged, the guitar, in it's soft case, fell of my shoulder and hit the ground. It still works, but  I will have to get it fixed soon. And, I must have him sign it. Three years ago, at a similar event, he sat in during "Mexican Wrestler". One of the highlights of my life, for sure. There is a video somewhere of it-I must find and post it. Maybe, I can make him feel guilty so he'll play again with me.

What will I be this year for Halloween?

I don't mind it as long as there is equal opportunity slutty costumes in the male department...
