I've really only had the opportunity to listen to House of Sleep from front to back once, and having heard half of it already made the album feel less "new" to me that it should have. Otherwise, the music is excellent. Tracks 7 and 8(the titles escape me right now) were both probably my favorite. All around a great album, I just need to listen to it more to really wrap my brain around it as one piece.

Dear AUTO PILOT,
First and foremost, I have been listening to the House of Sleep a lot over the last couple of days and must say that it is a very, very enjoyable piece of work. I really appreciate the unique sound you've managed to create along with the subtle elements that unify the songs. My favorite aspect would have to be the epic scale of the album itself. It's great to see ambitious artists taking risks and succeeding. The album itself is very replay-able thanks to the rich layering of music. Every time I listen to a particular song again, I hear something new in that song.
My only quibble is the lyrical content of the album. I think it's clear that this album was meant to be released a while ago and now that a shift is beginning in American politics, the messages of the songs feel outdated. Then again, my personal opinion about political songs is that they are too easy, so I am somewhat predisposed to being turned off by them due to their unoriginality. They've been done for decades and will continue to be written for decades to come. The sound of the voice, however, is very pleasing, and it's nice to hear a rock band with a decent singer. Very emotive.
The album as a whole is well outside of today's mainstream scene. I love that no song follows a single formula. The longer tracks like Departure, House of Sleep, and Flatland are epic and make me want to listen to them over and over, despite their length. If I had to pick a favorite piece on the album, right now it would have to be Sleepwalking II. A great song that provides a great climax at the end of the record.

Thanks for bringing your music to your fans without charge. I'm spreading the word about you guys. Good luck.

Come to Eugene, Oregon.

Upon first listen, I am enjoying it quite a bit. It's still gotta grow on me, which it will after repeated listens. For a great album by great musicians to be offered for free, no complaints here!

Great Album, well worht the long wait, Just as enjoyable to listen to as the EP was/is. My only complaint is that it's not on Actual CD/ the download bit rate was only 160 kbps. O well what's an audiophile going to do.

Great Job Guys,
Max-Milo

Compared to the older stuff i've heard from y'all, this is quite a step up. Your sound is much more polished (two of my friends overheard me listening to the album and agreed with me). This album has been playing in my car for almost a week now and that speaks volumes.... I usually get bored or sick of hearing the same album for more than a day.

I think it's time to go on tour and promote the hell out of it.... Great job.

Im on a local Flint Michigan death metal band called DevilsClub and have happened to see you guys several times. I was happy to check up on you guys recently as I randomly do to find that you had another album coming out soon. Ive been following you guys a bit since an early Dirtfest where I heard you playing songs such as Blues Song No1 and Lovesick Anthem which is for awhile back obviously. All I have to say is that for me being mainly a metalhead (though i listen to a wide range of music) this album is pure beauty. At first glance Auto Pilot would seem like one of those mainstream radio rock/pop bands but there is something special here. The only thing that stuck me funny is how much the last minute and a half of PNAC sounds like The Willing Well IV The Final Cut by Coheed & Cambria.

Hey. I've only had it for a few days on my iTunes, but the album has been getting non-stop play. I love the dynamics of the album. I am not big on political music, but I think the album was written in a way where you can still enjoy the music for it's overall sound. I liked when you guys added the audio clips of Hitler, Bush, and JFK. Creative. Definately a matured sound compared to "The Starving Rose". I just really like what you guys have done with the album. I'm particularly in love with "Sleep Walking II". Great work.
