The next video game to movie translation may be something a little different. Joystiq is reporting that Fallout may soon be making the big screen jump. They say Bethesda Softworks, the company behind the most recent Fallout game, Fallout ..3.. has registered a trademark, claiming the Fallout
name for “entertainment services in the nature of an on-going
television program” and in another filing, securing the trademark for
“motion picture films about a post-nuclear apocalyptic world.”

Though I’ve never played it, I’ve certainly heard plenty about it, and
usually with the words “brilliant” and “OMFG you have to play this!”
attached. The role playing games take place in a future,
post-apocalyptic world, in what’s left after a global nuclear war. The
look of it is vaguely WWII nuclear paranoia, it’s the world your
grandfather envisioned he’d step out into if he ever ended up trapped
inside his back yard bomb shelter. It’s retro-futuristic,
post-apocalyptic. In the game players battle mutants and interacts with
strange non-player characters, some of whom probably need to have their
heads blown off.

How about we blow the heads off all liars, in the real world. You can take your computer games, and your fantasy role playing games, and while you're busy with that, we'll be hunting you down, for the real kill. Real life. That's what I like to play. I don't like to hunt deer. I'd rather watch them. They're interesting, and fascinating, and they are not evil. It's people that are evil. They're the ones that should be hunted down and exterminated.
