Why I’m not a Christian.
How many times do you think to word Christian is in the Bible. How about disciple or Child of God.
I use a computer bible called e-Sword it’s a great tool for bible study.
I did word search for each of the words above.
The word disciple of Jesus 98 times the meaning of the word disciple is: μαθητεύω mathēteuō math-ayt-yoo'-o intransitively to become a pupil; transitively to learn, that is, enroll as scholar: - be taught, instructed, learn from a Master. Jesus called his follows disciples: John 13:35 By This all men will know that you are my disciples,if you love one another.
Child of God or Children of God 125 times.
The word Christian 3 times: Χριστιανός Christianos khris-tee-an-os' a Christian, that is, follower of Christ: - Christian. Is a Greek/Roman name for the disciples never used by Jesus. Jesus never called his disciples Christian. Because they aren’t they were students,Pupils and scholars learning the ways of Christ to become more Christ like.
A Christian is someone who follows and can still be lost. If your following someone and take your eyes off of them and then look back and they are gone your lost. But if you learn from them and know there way being a disciple you can walk the path even if you can’t see them all the time.
I’m not a Christian. I am a sinner saved by grace and a disciple of Jesus Christ. Jesus said. Mat 28:18 And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth. Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
Just some thing I’m thinking about .What do you think.
