Some of you may've heard it through the grapevine but to many of you this will probably come as a complete surprise. I am leaving the Perpetrators. J and Chris Carmichael will be rockin' as a duo. Having so much time at home these last coupla months has made it abundantly clear to me: I need to be not touring right now. I need to be home. People change, priorities change; such is life, however private or public it may be.

To answer a few questions of your questions beforehand...

- Yes, the Perps rock and it was a lot of fun to be in the band. They will continue to rock and to provide the soundtrack to some of the best nights of your life, and they will continue making kick-ass records. I still think they're a totally cool f**kin' band and I'm sure you will, too.

- Yes, I will continue making music. I've just had my fill of life on the road for now.

- Yes, I still love you and wish everybody nothing but the best,
Ry

oops...
When you get your hands on your copy of the new album, you may notice there is no "credits" section. Len Milne is mentioned in the liner notes and the three Perps playing on the recording (J, Ry, MAMA) are introduced between songs but we neglected to give credit to Scott Pinder at Polyphonic Mastering Labs, a big part of the reason why the album sounds so good. Hopefully this will get Scott even more notice than a credit on the cd packaging would've. Anybody who's wondering what mastering really does should have an a/b listen to something before and after it's been to Polyphonic. He does really great work.

So is this, like, as of now? If not starting when? Definitely big news. Hope it works out best for all. Kinda sad though.
