Current mood:  contemplative
I often wonder to myself what the difference would be throughout the world (even more so this particular country) if the media and their respective channels of the distribution of information played more to the positive than to the negative perspective of things. I'm not suggesting that we completely negate or do away with being in the know or aware of the negative ramifications of issues that may be imperative to our focus, or require our immediate attention, however, I feel like as a result of our tendency to play up the negative aspects before taking a look at the more positive (or perhaps, in some cases, the more natural), it gives way to the manifestation of this perspective in not only our various avenues of media, but also our lives. It makes us accept that it's ok to externalize blame and responsibility for something, or in some cases, internalize it, but not so much in productive or constructive way of influence, rather something potentially detrimental to our self-respect, image, and understanding of our world, and that of others.

Nonetheless, it's ubiquitous. In hindsight, it's fair to ponder the legitimacy of it in that we often are displacing facts and evidence of many stories and issues, and fabricating them with such a vague veneer of a basis for reference or understanding, one would even wonder why we bother to play up any side of it at all.

With that in mind, the pervasiveness of negative persuasion must stop. This kind of energy and perspective often finds a place in our own lives through a justification that comes out of the fact that we're used to it. We're exposed to it daily, hourly, and so on, telling us how to look as opposed to how we do look or want to look, how to live or believe as opposed to how we do or want to. It's all around us, consuming our identity, and leading us to look at life as if it's rearing its ugly head at us because of who we are, or the style we choose (whether that's through dress, life, ideals, belief and conviction, or other).

I challenge you. I challenge you to discover any negative attributes that your (our) surroundings have embedded or branded into you that may make you feel ever-so-inclined to defer to the negative perspective of who you are, the way you are, the way you believe or choose to see the world and your life's impact. Place it, understand it, and create the awareness...through studious studying and knowledgeable acknowledgment, we certainly can begin to make progress into living a life full of the wellness and Greatness we already are, that is already here and happening, livened, and life!

Greatness Abound, and I wonder how many of you will do this. I wonder...

What do you wonder...?

I've recently begun to take the negative opinions I have about myself, my body, my life, and my possible future... and turn them into the positive. I've started to love who I am, love the body I was blessed with, love the good things in my fortunate life, and not worry about the remarkable woman I am going to become (or how I will feel when I get there) and it is honestly the best thing that I could have done for my heart, mind, and soul. I am such a stronger person, with more independence and zest for life. My personality shines so much brighter than it used to - and I used to think that wasn't possible. But it is. And taking the negative out of your life in general is so uplifting... I took out the small traces of gossip and judgment that were within me. I started loving all wholeheartedly. I stopped watching television. I feel incredible... and I think everyone should do this. It's like giving yourself a spring cleaning... it takes work, but it is so worth it in the end.

Thank you for your inspiring words that you never fail to convey to me. And thank you for these words that you convey to others. This is helpful advice, as always. A helpful way of thinking.

I still constantly keep in my mind the evening you said to me, "You'll move mountains someday kid."

Yes. Yes I will.
And you helped me believe and feel that. Thank you, a thousand times over, dear one.
Thank you for being a friend and for our times sitting in your van, or in my house, conversing and being uplifting. I cherish them, and you! :)

I'll end my two cents with this true and eloquent statement on our society. May we end what it reveals:

"We were saying how important it is to bring about in the human mind, the radical revolution. The crisis is a crisis in consciousness. A crisis that cannot anymore accept the old norms, the old patterns, the ancient traditions. And, considering what the world is now, with all the misery, conflict, destructive brutality, aggression, and so on... man is still as he was. He is still brutal, violent, aggressive, acquisitive, competitive... and he has built a society along these lines."

Feeling the love and sending it your way,

A. Jayne

This is what I have been saying for a long time. But my words are not as elegant as yours. I live each day of my life looking for the positive and trying to live by it. I hope and pray that I will be a positive influence on people and in the end we can all "pay it forward".

you have such a way with words...

this is something i've been trying to do for about the past year now. i can tell you, it completely changed my perspective on a lot of things. this whole nation is swayed by media. if everyone found the willingness to look at more than one side of any issue, this place would definitely be different. everyone is entitled to their opinions, but i do agree that a more positive approach, especially in certain areas, would do wonders for many. this isn't an easy task in today's society. it's not easy for a lot of people to even be aware of what's going on around them, which i'm sure you understand. all the politics and pressures that people feel.. it's astounding. i'm so glad that you have the courage to speak up about these things. i can tell you that it's very much appreciated. you spread nothing but love and positive energy, which is something everyone needs. i shall be forwarding this blog to many people. <3
