Who knew CNN can be so informative? Ha ha!!! The televisions in my house have all been tuned to CNN since Michael Jackson passed away. Whether we've wanted it there or not, the t.v.'s seem to have liked Michael more than we knew or realized. Anyway, while taking a break from covering him and his family they went on to talk about an awful disaster that happened in Tennessee. 1.1 Billion gallons of toxic waste has spilled there and dried up several lakes. They were saying that it's the biggest disaster to effect the environment in American history.

They were interviewing families that lived near the spill and they were all speaking about developing all kinds of alements since the accident happened. From respitory trouble to intense migranes.


They were also interviewing a company that was held responsible for testing the air and water to make sure everything was and is safe for people and animals to continue residing there.

The whole thing just made me realize that there really is only one planet earth. Whether you take that fact serious or not is still is fact. And I'm also coming to realize that proper procedures by civilians and governmental figures need to be taken to secure a safe future for this generation and the many that will hopefully come after it. 


1.1 billion is a staggering number on it's own, no mater the context it's used in. Positive or negative. And to have to keep thinking that that many gallons of waste has and is destroying one of the states is devastating. Especially it being one of the worlds biggest musical capitals.

I'm in awe at the level of ignorance these people and companies that have power to take steps in starting a movement to clear the situation up to start a solution are being so relaxed.
