I find it interesting that
the right keeps talking about Justice Sotomayor as a possible activist judge.
Apparently activist just means you don’t agree....
I’m sure if Sarah Palin was
nominated and wanted to ban abortion and legalize shooting gay wolves from
airplanes while burning oil only from protected lands and coastlines, she’d be
a great nominee....
My only problem with
Sotomayor is her backing off her original statement that a Latina from the
Bronx might know more about discrimination than a rich white man. Really? Well
that’s just crazy talk. I wish she had stuck to her guns....
I hope she’s a crazy
activist. I hope she approves gay marriage and lets all the immigrants in she
can. I hope she protects the right to choose. Legalize marijuana and ban
assault rifles. ....
A little activism might do us
some good.....
Now those who have a problem
with gay marriage, particularly black people who have a problem with gay
marriage take a look at the murder of Emmitt Till. 50 years ago he was killed
for looking at a white woman and we’re still hung up on who you marry lust
after or sleep with. Interracial marriage is only 50 years old and we’re
fighting for civil rights again?....
Being gay is not the same as
being black but discrimination is discrimination and we as a nation need to
grow up. If you’re religion bans it then don’t do it. Religion is not the law.....
Immigration? She’s Puerto
Rican, that makes her American, look it
up. Its not the same as Mexico. ....
Now I know all you good
Americans were born here and no one should be let in this country unless they
have a great job and speak English and hate gays but remember your grandfather
or great grandfather or whoever came thru ellis island. They had a name no one
could pronounce so it was americanized then the kids learned English and
translated for the parents. Same as those evil latino kids are doing. Lil
bastids.....
Now you’re saying, “Alonzo
you’re black, they sent cruise ships to get you people and you were all invited
and had jobs waiting. Why do you care and what do you know about immigration.”
Actually my dad was from Honduras. He served in WW2 and became a citizen. So I
know a little about this. Don’t worry I can trace my history to slavery on my
mom’s side so I can still collect on that unfair affirmative action stuff
Sotomayor is for.....
Ok let’s play affirmative
action. We could call it what rich white men call it, legacy admission except
blacks have no legacy since they weren’t even allowed to read.....
To those white people who say
you didn’t own slaves nor profit from discrimination,you profit every time you
walk into a bank and are not looked at as a criminal. Every business that
started during slavery or segregation is an advantage and a head start, If
blacks had been equal maybe one would have started a chain of hotels and we
could be watching his stupid granddaughter on TV. If you miss out on a couple
of opportunities, well work harder. Sean Hannity says it will make you a good
American. ....
Abortion, she’s a woman they
know more about pregnancy than men. I’m gonna go ahead and give this one to her
unless I can find a pregnant man to argue with....
Maybe Justice Sotomayor can
do some good. Maybe she can be a role model to girls. Show them you don’t have
to whore it up to make it in society. You hear that Tyra? ....
Now I’m not anti whore. Lap
dancing is a great way to pay for college and I’d trust a whore over a
politician any day. She’s only selling her body and she might sell it to a
governor. ....
Justice Sotomayor is better than any of the
senators questioning her. The fact that a latin woman is up for the supreme
court under a black president is great and hopefully means out country is
growing up and opening its mind. ....
The fact that Rush has to
double up on his oxycotin is only a bonus....
