I've just uploaded a new song called "Mistral."
This one was born on Saturday June 7, when I plugged Candy, my Ibanez Talman, in to the computer, using IK Multimedia's Amplitube 2 amp simulator, then held the guitar up to my son (he's 21 months old) and let him bash away at the guitar for a while. I held down a few chord shapes and let him strum, and these were a few of the chords I kept returning to. When we were finished I filed those chords away in the vault, planning to do something with them some day.
That night I couldn't sleep, so I got up at 12:30am and recorded the whole song in 45 minutes, with the exception of the bass which I added tonight (June 11).
All guitars are the Talman through Amplitube - Vox AC30 model for the main rhythm guitar, and a THD model for the lead and the second rhythm guitar, which you can hear far in the left channel in the chorus. I played the melody and second rhythm guitar without a pick.
It's a nice, simple tune, and a good one for zoning out and improvizing. Hope you like it.
