well I promised to keep content coming to my blog, and part of that will involve a passion of mine for the last 20 years, writing poetry. I had a web site with about 70% of my work on it, but it became costly to keep up, and well I was lazy with updating it. So, this blog will serve as m way of converying a bit more insight into who I am with my writings. I'll try to outline each poem with a little background, but some are over 10 years old so I may not have the insight I used to have into why they were written
We'll start off with The Game. This poem was writen shortly after I started dating. I found myself frustrated with how gay men felt this need to put on facades to other guys, like it was some kind of game of foolling people into believeing they were something they weren't
Silence in your kiss
I taste of you forever
In the warmth of your shadow
Like a child I linger
And all day long your satin shape
A glow
And for my thirst
A tear
And after we lay as one
The solitude
Will I go on never knowing
When it's love & not a game
When it's laying beneath the table
And the pain stays the same?
it's a very abrupt poem, but i guess it conveys alot of what alot of guys feel about " the scene"
