Regal Tip Introduces Three Performer Series Models<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />....

                               ....

Regal Tip’s new models were designed to cover a full range of drumming techniques and genres.  ....

.. ..

Tommy Clufetos ‘313” model measures in at .630”wide x 16.25” long and is made to rock with a reinforced neck and custom acorn tip. Tommy is one of the most sought after drummers on the music scene and has toured with Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper, and is currently touring and recording with legendary rocker Rob Zombie.....

.. ..

Keith Carlock model measures .555” x 16.00”.  It is very similar to Regal Tip’s popular 8A.   This Performer Series model was designed to be versatile enough to accommodate Keith’s unique style, whether he’s playing with Steely Dan, Sting or his own band, Rudder. It has a lightweight feel, gradual taper and is accented with a small acorn tip for detailed cymbal playing. ....

.. ..

Walfredo Reyes Jr. “El Rockero” measures .600” x 16.00” in length with a rounded butt end for back sticking.    In Wally’s own words, "Sometimes while playing a song, I need more power and instead of changing sticks to a thicker one , I just turn these sticks around and they have that power without denting the heads!"....

Regal Tip sticks are by far the most under-rated drum stick. Like so many people in my age group, Vic Firth was pushed onto me because of the amazing endorser list they have. I saw Steve Hass play with John Scofield at the Blue Note, and loved his dynamics, deep groove and sound. He really does play with a large variety of artists. The only other drummers I can think of that cover that range are Vinnie Colaiuta and Gary Novack. He said he always uses the Regal 8a maple for everything. He also said if the diameter was just a little fatter, it would be the perfect all around stick. I said, hey the new HASS signature stick! He said yeah right. I have played the Carlock model. Too heavy for small club jazz gigs.
