I love Thrash (no surprise for anyone who visits this page) and will support it to the end! So when I came across Havok on Myspace, I was ecstatic! Pure Thrash to the end is what you can expect from these dudes from Colorado. They just signed a deal with Candlelight Records and with the support from them, you will see Havok in a town near you soon! Keep up the killer Thrash gentleman, I can't wait for the debut album!

Firstly, thanks for the questions and recognition!! We do kind of shove all the real shit in everyone’s faces!! Haha!

Can you tell us a little about the bands history, and the signing with metal powerhouse Candlelight Records?

Our first real show was in February of 2004. Just some young guys wanting to play music to an audience. Before too long, it was clear to us that we could do this for real, not just for fun! We’ve been working on what we do ever since. One day, spring of ’08, we got a phone call from Candlelight and they said they wanted to sign us, and here we are! We’re still psyched about being a part of their roster and the future holds good things for us.

Is the band complete, or are you still looking for a drummer?

We should have a new drummer VERY soon. It’s just a matter of picking the right guy. We’ve found plenty of dudes that can play, we just need to choose the best one to suit our needs!

What can one expect from the new release, and will you tour in support of it soon?

“Burn” is a complete package of our early career and our new material, all put together. There are some old songs on there, but there is also a breath of fresh air with the new stuff! We plan on touring all year as soon as we have a skinsman, so look out for us on the road!

Halseycaust did the artwork for the album correct?

Yes, and it turned out better than we had hoped. She’s an amazing artist! We had noticed her work much earlier and when we needed the artwork for this album, it was a no-brainer to select her.

I think it's safe to say a lot of Thrash fans are happy to hear a quality singer and, not just a growler as most of the new "Thrash" bands seem to be fronting lately.

Well thanks! I don’t know how “quality” of a singer I am, but I try to add melody to the vocals. It gets redundant when there are no melodies or dynamics to the vocals. Also, it’s frustrating when you can’t even understand the lyrics the band is singing! I draw vocal inspiration from a lot of different bands like Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Kreator, Pantera (CFH album). None of those bands’ vocals are the same, so I try to take the best parts of all of them and put them together. I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel here, you know? (David/vox)

What can we expect from Havok in the next few years?

Expect to see us on the road! We plan on touring nonstop for a while. Eventually we’ll record another album. The goal is to keep getting better. We want to make every album better than the one before it!

Anything you want to add?

Pick up the new album, “Burn”! If you’re reading this, I think you’ll like it. Whether you’re a guitarist, bass player, drummer, or vocalist, or not even a musician, I know there are parts of this album that you’ll appreciate.

Thanks, and keep killing the Thrash world!
