Thanks to everyone who voted!

Now...any ideas where we should go with our two roundtrip tickets to anywhere in the continental US? :P

Score! Congrats! I'd say hit New Orleans. They could use a visit.

It's good to know that my vote counted for real.

Good suggestion!

Darts probably wouldn't work so well with Google maps, eh?

Congrats! I had a feeling it would win.

I second the Nawlins suggestion.
Where else are you going to find so much great music?

Good point about the music.

We've also been curious about Santa Fe...

if you end up with two comments from me, saying the same thing... it's because tom hates me. I would use them to go somewhere warm... but since you're already warm... I say go see the country's largest ball of yarn or something else totally weird.

We did talk about maybe selling the tickets and using the money to go to Hawaii. It's on record that I am obsessed with that place.

But on the other hand, maybe something new...

I'm just saying... totally free vacation? Go somewhere weird... somewhere you wouldn't pay to go.

Wow, that is great. If you do hit NY, do share. But I love the New Orleans suggestion.

Depends also on what time of year. I hear that if you visit Lousiana that you should want to also visit north of NewOrleans.

For another time, where have been some of your favorite visits?

It really was the best one and I said so therefore it has the force of law.

I'd vote for St. Augustine, FL or Savannah, GA or Annapolis, MD or Burlington, VT because they are my favorite B-Class American cities and they get lonely.

Congratulations!

As for the trip, how about Washington DC or Las Vegas? Since you're out in California, you've probably been to Vegas, but there are lots of good places to see in DC. There's something called "The Cherry Blossom Festival" that starts in about 2 weeks, and ends in early/middle April. I plan to actually go this year. Last year, I was home in Georgia and missed it.
