As I write this it’s 6.50pm, I’m say at home and you’re probably at Live At Leeds. Lucky you.
This week on LMS we’ve posted a couple of interviews. First of all we have an interview with Grant Brandell, bassist with Underoath. You can read the interview here.
That interview was written by Jessica Thornsby who this week also spoke with Rachel Mary Callaghan (vocalist with London band Kasms) about 'shriekbeat' and some bizarre fan-wrestling she seems to engage in at gigs.
The Kasms interviews is here.
We’ve also reviewed a host of CDs. Rather than give you links to them all, here’s the page you can dig into them a little - www.leedsmusicscene.net/recorded/ - and here’s what has been posted this week: ‘What's That Noise?’ by Sound Of Sirens; an Untitled CD by One Day, After School...; ‘You Shall Go To The Ball’ by The March Greens, ‘Love Has Left The Room’ by A Camp; ‘Touchdown’ by Brakes; ‘Robot Works’ by Wintermute; and ‘Music For The People’ by The Enemy.
It’s also been a busy week for new Live reviews, with articles posted covering Catch 22, The JB Conspiracy, Make It Better Later, The Bishops, The Nice Sharp Pencils, The Voltaires, Gomez, The Aquabats, MC Lars and finally Failsafe.
This week saw the line up for the Lock Up Stage at Leeds Festival announced, with Leeds band The Plight opening up the Sunday proceedings. More on that line up here.
That’s it for this week, keep checking out www.leedsmusicscene.net for all the latest Leeds music news and information.
