I have opinions about things. At some point in my childhood, someone asked me what I thought about a certain subject and I looked like an asshole because I didn't think anything. I had to go home and cultivate some personal viewpoints on various issues. As a kid these ideas basically came straight from whoever I was reading or talking to at the moment; as time passed i latched onto some and ditched others and possibly made up a few of my own, which is an incredibly proud moment for any human. Now I have enough practice so that if someone asks me about something I've never heard of, I can pretty much come up with an opinion about it on the spot. Setting my subjective experience on automatic frees up time so I can write stuff like this.

Everyone has to have an opinion. You could arguably have one without knowing it, but the best part of having one is being aware that you have one. It's what separates us from the animals. Animals have, at best, preferences.
