Starting at the earlier time this jam, we couldn't help think that this place is empty. But with a more than respectable 39 jammers - a new record -  and at least as many listeners, the August jam at Champions will be remembered for a long, long while. Some jammers couldn't get no satisfaction with only one go,thinking it's all over now,  but the sheer number of musicians and the additional time constraints made it quite a complicated jigsaw puzzle to get everyone in. But you can't always get what you want, and you would be a fool to cry, as there are more jams coming up.

Champions is no longer looking torn and frayed since Dave decided to paint it black. Despite champagne and reefers being off the menu, Stan still managed to get our guests "The Stones" set up  to rip this joint in double quick time, and did not succumb to a 19th nervous breakdown. (He got his emotional rescue when he got home). There's plenty of hot stuff on the vids, and not for the last time. It was not just my imagination (running away with me) that by the end of the evening we were shattered and all we could say was "thanks for coming, hope to see you all at the next jam, (you can make it if you try) and now please go home"! We'll be cool, calm and collected in time for the next jam, ready to get up, stand up and be confessin' the blues!
