Hello everyone.
This weekend I went to Brighton. It's on the south shore of England and has a pebble beach instead of sand. It's beautiful to look at, but horrible to walk on when you're going uphill back from the ocean.
The whole town is perfect for pictures and I wish I had my real camera instead of just the point-and-shoot, but it was still nice to be there. The area reminded me of any beach town past its prime of popularity--like Ocean City, New Jersey--reflecting a time that has past.
There was an old pier (The West Pier) that people have been trying to restore since it closed down in 1975. In January 2003 part of it collapsed. In March 2003 the biggest part of it caught on fire. Since then, the collapsed part has fallen into the ocean and only an empty steel skeleton remains. Horribly depressing, but great for pictures.
Speaking of that. There have been a few people who have been reading this who don't have facebook and can't view my pictures. Because I've that, I've included a link to every photo album I've made of this trip. Take a look!
