KEXP Live from Chicago 2008

We will be broadcasting LIVE from Engine Studios in the Bucktown neighborhood Wednesday through Friday, July 16-18.

Then, we head over to the Pitchfork Music Festival 08 at Chicago's Union Park to continue the LIVE broadcast on Saturday and Sunday, July 19 and 20.
Also, be sure to join us for an evening of comraderie and live music at Darkroom on Wednesday night, July 16.

KEXP  is pleased to announce the Sixth Annual KEXP Summer BBQ from 3 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 9th  on the lawn behind South Lake Union Discovery Center at 101 Westlake Ave. North in Seattle.  

This year's lineup features:   Portland's The Dandy Warhols , veteran masters of catchy psychedelic pop; Portland's atmospheric psych-pop duo The Helio Sequence, The Saturday Knights, Seattle party rappers that like to rock, and more.

Gates open at 2 p.m., and bands will perform from 3 to 9 p.m.   KEXP will also broadcast live from the event starting at 3p.m.

Tickets are on sale now at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/37665.   Prices are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.   This year's event is sponsored, in part, by Redhook Ale Brewery.

This event is All Ages.

FRICTION has been a part of New York City's music community since September 2005 and has just taken up residency at The Mercury Lounge, located where the Lower East Side meets the East Village.  

FRICTION is a DIY monthly concert series highlighting New York City's most up-and-coming bands along with the hottest buzzed about touring acts and DJs. The showcase is on the forefront of the independent music scene, based at NYC's Mercury Lounge, organized and sponsored by CrackersUnited.com , and held in part with KEXP Seattle.
