I'm in California, near Santa Monica, visiting a new friend named Max. Cool air is coming through the window of Max's daughter Summer's room, where I slept under a pink puff next to a monkey and lots of athletic trophies. This was a quick overnight trip to do some Western States Arts Federation business with a podcasting guru, Michael Geoghegan. No real business came out of our dinner meeting last night, but lots of possible ideas. Michael was there at the beginning of podcasting, by happenstance, and it's been quite a ride, including his work doing podcasts for Disney. I fly back to Denver later this morning. Max and I had a good talk in his backyard pool, and this morning I hope we have some more time to connect. He's a writer, about 15 years younger than I am, a graduate of the same college, and someone who grew up in the East but has chosen to live in the West. That might make a good interview for the Mile High Pod Chronicles if he's in the mood.
