The early bird gets the worm, my mother always used to say. But no worms up here in the high rise on a frigid morning (3 degrees) before the sun comes up. I posted an episode of my audio podcast (Audio Pod Chronicles at the iTunes Store or AudioPodChronicles.com ), and that always gets me jazzed with accomplishment and nervousness. Was it great? Was it embarrassingly lame? Will anyone hear it other than my father and daughter? I have learned that such thoughts add nothing to my progress as a serious podcaster. It's like they say in AA, I just keep coming back, posting a new audio podcast every Friday and a new video podcast every Monday (Video Pod Chronicles). They add up, and I get better at it, and I love doing them. Since I don't depend on podcasting to put food on the table or pay the condo fees, the matter of audience is not so acute a concern. Not that I don't enjoy the occasional feedback which comes my way, because I learn from it. For instance, my Dad was the only one brave enough, or observant enough, to notice and tell me about a little sound I sometimes make with my tongue and teeth that is irritating to hear. So now when I spot it, I edit it out in GarageBand. Anyway. MySpace is a funky corner of my internet life. Nice to check in once in a while.
