We cannot tell you how excited we are to post this news! A few months ago the great Brendan Graham (who wrote “You Raise Me Up”) heard William perform in Los Angeles, and after hearing "Sweet Remembrance Of You" he was so inspired that he wanted to add lyrics. Now William and Brendan have created the beautiful anthem “O, America” and the Irish supergroup Celtic Woman have adopted it as their own! They have sung it every night on their American tour, and their adoring fans have rewarded the song with a standing ovation every night. And now, this song will be released to the world on June 23, 2009.

Please check out a clip of Celtic Woman performing “O, America” here!

Let us and all the fans of Celtic Woman know what you think of this beautiful song, sprung from William’s absolutely beautiful “Sweet Remembrance of You.” Feel free to post your comments on William’s message board, but also this brand new board created on the Celtic Woman website!

As Celtic Woman fanatics, we were thrilled to hear that "O, America" was YOUR song.  We heard you play years ago in Dallas and have been avid fans since that night.  How wonderful for 2 of our favorites  to team up and create such a fabulous song!  Thanks for sharing your talent and bringing joy to our ears and our hearts!

I attended a concert of Celtic Woman in March.  I had heard William Joseph play the song "Sweet Remembrance of You' in January in Toccoa.  I also heard William Joseph play the song in Charlotte at his concert there.  He announced that the song was being sung by Celtic Woman.  The 'O America' was truly beautiful and I thought it sounded familiar.  Now I know why it sounded familiar.  It is wonderful and I hope more of William's music will also have lyrics added.  The music is great!

William, thank you for such a beautiful song. The lyrics and words truly touches the heart.

The American audience has played a big part in elevating Celtic Woman’s popularity worldwide. This is easily reflected by the record breaking weeks @ #1 on the Billboard charts and CD/DVD record sales.

In return, Celtic Woman is thanking their audiences by performing this beautiful song.
It’s truly a sight to behold when the song ends with a standing ovation by everyone in the house with a tear in their eye.

Thank you,
J&K

That's beautiful for Americans, but since I'm Canadian, it spoiled the music for me. I love the music and the voice, but the lyrics where not meant for me.

I am so mesmerized by this piece of music! It's so romantic! I was disappointed, however, to have patriotic American lyrics added to it, because I am Canadian! I was looking forward to hearing a romantic ballad when I began listening to it. That would have made it more universal.

What a classic. It should be around for years to come to play for all those who need to hear god's words again and again to offer them hope in their sins. Steve

What a wonderful thing to hear "O, America". Now why can't American Idol be more like this. I want to hear this kind of thing all the time!
