Two of the tracks which made the Top 20 list for October were not even songs.  The most popular track for October is the audio portion of a video testimony about how a troubled teen's life was turned around for the better through Jesus Christ and the intervention of a wonderful Christian lady.  The lady who gives this personal testimony is Letty.  In the video below, Letty talks about how Jesus totally transformed a troubled teenager.  The Very Limited Brain Who Maintains Arise Radio highly recommends Letty as a friend.  Letty's MySpace page can be found at http://www.myspace.com/lettylovesjesus

Another non-song track which made the October Top 20 list came from an audio Bible.  This track contained Max McLean's narration of Psalm 23 from The Listener's Bible: King James Version.  I wish I had a video or an audio of Max McLean's narration of Psalm 23, but I could not find one that I could upload into this blog.  Here is a video which contains Max McLean's narration of Mark 5.  As you will discover, Max McLean's narration of the Bible is well worth listening to.  Max McLean's official website can be found at http://www.listenersbible.com/.

On Arise Radio, you will hear a wide variety of inspirational songs from all kinds of artists.  You will even occasionally hear a song from an artist or group of artists who are not usually associated with Christian music.  Arise Radio is designed to be a different kind of Christian music station.  As much as possible, we try to not be predictable, and we like to play material which people don't expect to hear on Christian radio.

One song from a group not usually labeled as Christian claimed the final spot on the October Top 20 list.  The song You Got Me Rocking from The Rolling Stones talks about various individuals whose lives were broken and hopeless before they met a very special person.  God is never mentioned in this song, and Mr. Jagger and company would probably vehemently deny that this song was intended to convey any sort of Christian message.  I have heard some feedback from some of you that The Rolling Stones did not belong on a Christian music station.  I totally understand your concerns about The Rolling Stones.  May I ask you to set aside your feelings about The Rolling Stones for just a few seconds?  Can I get you to focus on the message of this particular song?  Can I get you to focus on the message rather than the messengers?  Doesn't this song talk about what happens whenever a person becomes a Christian?  Before any of us met Jesus Christ, our lives were broken down and hopeless.  After Christ came into our lives, He changed us for the better and got us rocking.

Thank You once again for listening to Arise Radio and for your feedback.
