Love someone who you would rather not
Forgive someone who hurt you

Love and forgiveness are choices that you make. We tend to think that we have no control over the people we "love" but in reality we do. We make a decision. "I am going to bestow my love upon this person." After we have been hurt we believe that we have a right to be mad and linger on with unforgiveness. We do not have that right. It actually hurts us more than it helps.

Some verses you may want to look up: Mark 12:29-31 Romans 12:19

These things are not easy. If we truly want to look more like Christ then we will follow his lead. To follow him means to step out of our own comfort zone. Are we willing to do that? Out there in the unknown there awaits a great adventure. Be bold and go find him.

I'm glad you wrote this. :) I always have to remind myself that when I don't want to forgive it's satan working his way into my life. I will not, can not, let him win so I cling to God for the strength to forgive even those I previously felt were un-forgiveable. And I have felt the amazing freedom in both forgiving and being forgiven. I love the verses and highlighted them. (yep, they're going on notecards too!)
