Instead of a detailed list like I made last year I’m just going to post up a list of movies and music I loved that were released in 2008. There was a lot of great stuff out there and I was surprised by a lot of it. None of this is in any particular order so it’s just a couple of lists.

IRON MAN – the best comic book movie of the year.

SPEED RACER – Yeah! I said it!

HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY – the second best comic book movie of the year.

THE ORPHANAGE – Why can only foreigners make good horror films anymore?

THE DARK KNIGHT – Third, but fantastic- it was a good year.

THE BANK JOB – Holy Crap! Jason Statham can act?

TROPIC THUNDER – Nothing funnier all year.

BURN AFTER ....READING.... – Laughed until I cried

BODY OF LIES – just damned good

LET THE RIGHT ONE IN- Why can only foreigners make good horror films anymore?

THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON – beautiful

CLOVERFIELD – ....America.... finally has its own Godzilla!
