Hello friendly and fellow adventurer,
As you know, we've recently returned from our 25-day tour of the Middle East, finished our 53-songs-of-the-week (thus completing a full year of our endeavor), and begun work on the rest of 2008's activities. We're getting our Fall college tour lined up right now.
Some people may be curious about how we plan our tours. After all, this past year we've booked trips to Little Rock, Houston, Colorado, Florida, and Kuwait. So I'll let you in on a secret. We plan tours according to...
"The Indiana Jones Sequel Plan"
Think about it like this. Every time Indiana Jones has to go out on another adventure, his writers have to concoct a new destination that encompasses an ancient relic, a secret religious society, an arch-villain, and a brush with a past girlfriend. Each sequel has to get bigger and better, taking him into a more and more cataclysmic confrontation with evil.
That's kinda how we plan our trips.
We sit around and think of how we could make our adventures bigger and better than they've ever been before. Could we run into Bill Clinton on the streets of Little Rock? Check. Could we somehow find a way to make Mr. Belding (from Saved By The Bell) our biggest fan? Check. Could we meet the author of that low-budget cartooning tutorial we watched as children? Check. And if there is a chance we could cavort with the falcon-trainer for the king of a small Arabian country, why not?
Ok. It's not exactly finding the Ark of the Covenant and fighting Nazis. But we're getting there. We're still in the "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" phase. (You remember that short-running TV series about his exploits as a young man, right?)
We're just trying to continue the adventures until we can afford our own bullwhip.
So here's the question for you. We're looking at our upcoming tour and thinking about where we can go, and what we can do.
So we need to know what YOU think. Where can we go? What will continue the adventure?
So tell us. Would you like to see another big show in your area? Or perhaps a small show? When would be the best time of the year for us to come through your area? Where would you like to see a show happen?
Let me know what YOU think. Remember, think outside the box. Tell us what you really feel. After all, this is all about YOU and...
...the continuing adventure.
