Aaron Jayne
Aaron Jayne has been used by God to inspire leaders around the globe to make an impact in their cities and communities. Having helped found the Dream Center in Los Angeles with it's senior pastor, Matthew Barnett, Aaron has learned the valuable skills and principles it takes to build local churches in ways that have never been done before. Aaron has also developed a deep love for lost and hurting people after being saved and discipled under Tommy Barnett, pastor of Phoenix First Assembly in Arizona, from a life of drugs and alcohol.
Aaron helped to build the first youth ministry in the Dream Center as he became their Youth Pastor in August of 1996. From there he served in various roles until he accepted his position as the Associate Pastor at the end of 2000. This responsibility has Aaron overseeing many areas, including the Adopt-A-Block program, public relations, and the Dream Center Cooperation Network, which includes over 180 Dream Centers worldwide. Though Aaron has had many opportunities, his heart and call remains the same: to serve Pastor Matthew Barnett and his vision to reach Los Angeles and the world.
The Dream Center began as a typical local church, but with the fresh vision and a desire to impact the entire city, the church grew from 39 members at its conception in September of 1994, to reaching more than 35,000 people each week in the Center's 40 services and nearly two hundred ministries today.
The Dream Center houses close to 500 people who are being rehabilitated for the glory of God. Over 35,000 people a week receive food and many other services are offered to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the local community. 2001 was a historic year for the Center. The famous Angelus Temple in Echo Park joined forces with the Dream Center through a process of two great denominations working together and the unification became official on November 1, 2001. Now both churches are able to increase their overall impact in the Los Angeles area.
Aaron has spoken in some of the most prestigious events, conferences, camp-meetings, and pastor's schools throughout Europe, Australia, Africa, South America, and North America. He has written articles for different newspapers and magazines and was a featured writer in Josh McDowell's book Youth Ministry Handbook. He has been on the cover of the New York Times Sunday edition and has been a guest on many different television shows Currently, Aaron is the Associate Pastor of Angelus Temple and The Dream Center and married to his beautiful wife Amanda and father to their newborn son, Asher Lucas Jayne.
