In 2002, I recorded a one song CD called Bridges of This Town, which featured a song about the bridges of Portland, Oregon. You can hear this song on this myspace site. Sharon Wood Wortman, a Portland  woman who leads tours of the Portland bridges and wrote the definitive book about the Portland bridges, The Portland Bridge Book, has included the lyrics to Bridges of This Town in the new edition of the book.
     I have performed the song countless times at her Bridge Walk and Poetry tours and other events. I performed "The Band of Bridges" a song I wrote based on a bridge poem of Sharon's, at her one woman show, the Bridge Lady, at the Shoebox Theater in Portland.
