Its been 4 days since I was named the Rollergirl of the Week on NOLA.com and already I've noticed these reactions:

1. The Whole Foods Manager at Arabella emailed the blog to everyone in the store, proudly announcing that it was about, "one of our own here at Whole Foods!"  It may have been forwarded on to everyone in the SouthWest region but I only have rumors of that, no confirmation.  It was also printed out and posted behind the cheese counter, next to the BERG calendar.  (I hope everyone's derby career is as nurtured & supported in the workplace as mine is)

2. I've been recognized from the blog a few times and someone even asked to take their picture with me.

3. A guy has offered to be my beer shotgunning sensei, so that I may be more than league champ, I may someday be world champ.  (We practice with Guinness)

4. I haven't paid for a drink since Friday and folks keep giving me beer and cocktails, regardless of whether I've asked for them or want them.  At one point in Shangri-la I had two beers from fans in the crowd and a Bloody Mary that someone gave Treblecrush...and she gave to me. 

5. I got laid.
