We've had such an incredible two weeks. I wanna start by saying thanks to everyone who came to our Rock N Roll Revival show at the Pour House in Charleston, SC. We love everyone of you! thanks for your support. We had lots of fun that night, for those of you who stayed till the very end, you probably remember some really young talent that was displayed. There are some definite young rock and rollers comin up behind us that are kick ass! After that show, we had a week to work on some new material and to also rehearse for our shows with The Avett Brothers.
We were really looking forward to these shows, cuz it was gonna be our first time playing with The Avett Brothers and also playing the House of Blues. So, when we got to Myrtle Beach Friday, we went straight to the house of blues and loaded in. It was unlike any other load-in experience we've had. They dropped a ramp right into our trailer and had at least 4 stage hands helping us get our gear into the venue. As soon as the gear hit the venue grounds we were setting it up on stage to sound check. Sound check was more professional than anything we've ever done. It was almost instantly dialed in. After that, we had little time to go get changed, order some food, and then get pumped up for the show. The crowd both nights were unbelievably excited and pumped up for whoever was about to walk out on stage. Even our friend, Billy Gimmel, would go and put waters on the stage and the crowd would go nuts, i mean, he is kinda like a supermodel. So, five minutes to show time, we decided we'd go ahead and hit the stage. That meant we could play one more song on the set list, and if you know us, you know we like to play. One by one we made our way to the stage greeted by the biggest applause we've ever received. All 2600 people screaming for ya!! It was an amazing feeling, and being NMB the place I grew up, it definitely felt like a homecoming, with people from my childhood sprinkled about the crowd. We opened up with "No More Tears" and after 1:30 into the song, I noticed people were diggin it, and if you're diggin it, we're diggin it! We proceeded to rock it out, and milked the big stage for everything it was worth. After each song, all I heard was white noise, i couldn't tell which songs they might have liked better, it was just screams. I remember thinking to myself, I want to get used to this! haha
The coolest thing about the whole weekend was how the House of Blues treated us and especially how The Avetts treated us. They were incredibly gracious and said that they were honored to have us on the bill with them. Hopefully we can do more shows with them! We'd like to thank everyone who came to the show and bought merch, thanks! All in all, it was a great weekend with a lot positive vibes. Can't wait to play some more!!
